Assesment methods :
Elaboration and presentation of seminar work - 40 points, final written exam - 60 points. To gain grade A (excellent) it is required at least 93 points, grade B (very good) at least 86 points, grade C (good) at least 79 points, grade D (satisfactory) at least 72 points and grade E (sufficient) at least 64 points.
Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student obtains overview of modern physical measuring or investigation methods and materials testing. He obtains knowledges about physical principles of individual methods. After finishing of the subject student can evaluate experimental methods and experimental results. He is able to select the convenient measurement method for measurement of physical parameters or investigation methods and methods of material examination.
After completion of the subject the student is able to apply knowledge in practice, absolvent is able to choose the optimal measurement technique or examination methods, he can analyse the measurement accuracy and interpret the measurement results.
Course contents:
Experiment and methodology. Classification of physical measurement and examination methods. Physical principles of selected methods. Methods of physical quantities measurement. Physical methods for the experiment evaluation. Mathematic methods of experiment evaluation. Statistical methods of experiment evaluation.
